We got to 3000 dojo points. We had a party on Friday. Our friend Alex M has the most dojo points. Mojo had a sleep over with MR potato. Two weeks ago we watched a movie called ICE AGE. We have all been the teacher for ten minutes.Adam taught us about Rugby. khaled taught us how to play the tin whistle. Quentin taught us how to make a stress ball.We learned about half’s and quarters. We are learning about the water cycle.

Today is Tuesday. Last week was Friday and we had a cinema party. We watched the Croods and we had sweets. And are Teacher was miss muckley. She gave us malloweens if you don,t know what they are they are chocolate marshmallows they were good and we had jellies. Today is double dojo points day. Each time we get a dojo point we get two dojo points instead of one. Do you wonder why we got this day?

Today we are playing a new game with Miss Buckley it is a game that we be better than the teacher. Every few minutes or so she counts down from five to one. She can call it out or whisper it out or use her fingers. It is fun for everyone. If we are quiet we get a point and if we are not quiet Miss Buckley gets a point. And there is a good competition. Some times we play the game and get lots of points. We get a prize. We get lots of points for doing this. We get lunch if we get a lot of points. Last week we got a lot of points. It is very fun. We are all ways getting points. We always beat Miss Buckley. Miss Buckley does the happy dance when she gets a point. And when we get a point Miss Buckley does the sad dance.

Wishing all the lovely mummys in second class a very happy Mother’s Day!
Today we some did length investigations in our classroom
Firstly the boys had to find objects that were greater than and less than one metre in length.
The next challenge was to identify objects that were approximately half a metre long.
The final investigation was to find items which measured close to a quarter of a metre.
The boys did a fantastic job!
Last Friday the boys from junior infants up to second class went on a trip to the Glucksman in UCC. We travelled in a double decker bus and second class were lucky enough to sit on the top deck!
When we reached the Glucksman the boys in first and second class undertook a massive project, they had to create their own city out of items such as cardboard boxes, paper, tape etc. The boys had some amazing ideas and the city was absolutely incredible when it was finished!
Within this city there was a hotel, hospital, tower, a beach, houses and a miniature CBC among some other fantastic ideas. The hotel even had a swimming pool on the roof!! Well done boys!
Last Friday we started Flashlight Friday. We turned off the lights and pulled down the blinds to make our classroom really dark and then we read our books using flashlights. This is a fun activity which can be done at home too!
In second class we have some amazing musicians! We had the Harry Potter theme on the tin whistle by Mr David Bradley, Mr Sai Murphy Gulati also impressed us with his tin whistle skills! Mr Conor Quirke and Mr Sean FitzPatrick played the guitar. Well done to all our talented musicians!
This week second class accomplished their class dojo goal of earning over 600 points. Their reward was a trip to the 2nd class cinema to see Toy Story 3. We will now work towards earning 1000 points as a class. Well done boys!
Second class are working hard at the moment to earn class dojo points. Each time a pupil earns 15 points, they pick a gold envelope to choose their reward. Aidan got to sit at the teacher’s desk for his lunch as his reward today!!
Today we had Mr Michael Murray, the amazing go-kart driver in CBC. Second class were able to interview Mr Murray about his go-karting career in school today!
